Lynn Redgrave

I just heard Lynn Redgrave died.  I remember when she was having that terrible problem with Universal because she wanted to breast feed her baby on the set.  It was during that period of time when the Women’s Movement was moving quickly up the ladder of people’s consciousness.  Universal was wrong and while the lawsuit got settled out of court, Lynn’s movie career was never the same.  She told me lo those many years ago that she had simply been blackballed from the industry as many people who do business with the studio didn’t want to get on their bad side.  She then turned her attention theatre and her several one Woman Shows.  She also filed for divorce from her husband of 32 years when she discovered he had fathered a baby with their nanny many years earlier.

People do have complicated lives.
