Dear Rona,

This morning, a colleague sent me your Noozhawk column on romantic attachments in Alzheimer’s patients. I told her yesterday at lunch that my mother seems to be quite enamored with a gentlemen there who shares her dining table. While I haven’t witnessed this, I have been utterly delighted to hear about it from her caregivers. I feel it is playing no small part in keeping agitations at bay and giving her some joy. So, thank you for the column that confirms another wonder of our hearts and souls breaking through a physical disease that logic would dictate just shouldn’t happen! (At this age!! With this disease!! A perfect stranger!!)

Thank you for what you are doing for seniors in the community!

P.H.
