Holiday Letter from Rona

Dear Friends,

As the holidays approach, I want to wish you a season of celebration and gratitude.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported the Rona Barrett Foundation in the past year with your time, talent and support.

2010 has been an important year in the history of the Foundation. Along with our senior advocacy efforts and assistance to other non profits that assist the elderly, concrete plans have been developed to create a senior care facility in Santa Barbara County. The Rona Barrett Foundation now has preliminary architectural plans for a pilot village for seniors in need called the “Golden Inn and Cottages.”  This village will include affordable units in an “Inn” like setting, both an adult and child daycare centers, and a small elder hostel for traveling seniors, caregivers, or relatives who come to visit those who live at the Inn. We are now in the process of securing an appropriate site in the Santa Ynez Valley.

After operating with a small staff and out of my home, there is a need to expand the Foundation responsibly to accomplish the goal of establishing The Golden Inn, in order to provide much-needed quality services and housing for seniors and their caregivers. I am asking for your financial support to help move this project forward as quickly as possible. Remember this senior housing, elder day care, or caregiver respite services may be needed by you or one of your loved ones. The time for action is now.

I invite you to take this historic opportunity to partner with me to help generations to come. Please make out your donation today to the “Rona Barrett Foundation” or click here to donate.

Your tax deductible gift will go to work right away helping seniors in need and will be an investment in our vision to build The Golden Inn senior facility in the Santa Ynez Valley. Please join me in bringing the gift of comfort, peace of mind, and decent housing for our precious seniors.

Happy Holidays,

Rona Barrett, Founder

In tribute to my late father, Harry
